Aspiring nurses, here’s your chance to serve the nation! The Military Nursing Service (MNS) has officially opened applications for its Short Service Commission (SSC) program for the year 2023-24. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the national-level entrance exam on behalf of the Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS).
Candidates who are desirous of applying for the exam may go through the Information Bulletin and
apply online at https://exams.nta.ac.in/SSCMNS only during the period from 11 December 2023
to 26 December 2023 and The exam will be held on 14th January 2024 in CBT mode.

Successful candidates will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the MNS and receive extensive training in military nursing. Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualification
- Nationality: Indian citizen
- Age: 21 to 35 years as on December 01, 2023
- Educational Qualification:
- B.Sc. (Nursing) degree from a recognized university
- Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) with a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience in a recognized hospital
- Applicants must be physically fit and meet the medical standards of the Indian Army
Only Female candidates who are Unmarried/ Divorced/ Legally Separated/Widowed without encumbrances are eligible to apply
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be through an Online Computer Examination and Interviews. The Online Computer Based Examination is likely to be held in April 2020. The Interview will be held during May 2020.
The exact Date, Time, and Venue for the examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well and such information will also be available on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
