West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has released a notification about WBPSC Clerkship Exam 2023. Interested and eligible candidates should apply online only through the official website of Public Service Commission of West Bengal (PSCWB). Starts from 8th December 2023 and must apply online by 29th December 2023. Selection of candidates for Clerkship Exam-2023 will be based on educational qualification and other details, in brief, for information purpose only in the interest of job aspirants, are given below —
Eligibility Criteria
The educational qualification required for WBPSC Clerkship Examination 2023 is as follows:
a. Qualification : Completion of the Madhyamik examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
b. Computer Skills : Proficiency in basic computer operation, coupled with the capability to type at a speed of 20 words per minute in English or 10 words per minute in Bengali.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through the Clerkship Examination 2023, which comprises two successive stages: i) Part-I (Objective Type) and ii) Part-II (Conventional Type – Written). Only candidates who qualify in the written examination will proceed to demonstrate elementary knowledge of computer operation and typing skills. The Direct Recruitment Examination is scheduled to take place at various centers in Kolkata and specific districts in West Bengal. WBPSC Clerkship 2023 Exam Pattern:
Two Parts:
Part-I (Objective Type):
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Total Marks: 100
Subjects: English (30 marks), General Studies (40 marks), Arithmetic (30 marks)
Part II (Conventional Type – Written):
Duration: 1 hour
Total Marks: 100
Subjects: English (Group A, 50 marks), Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali (Group B, 50 marks)

- Read the instructions carefully and click on the “Apply Online” button.
- Fill in the application form with all the required details, including personal information, educational qualifications, work experience (if applicable), and category (General, SC/ST/OBC).
- Upload your scanned documents, including passport-size photograph, educational certificates, and caste certificate (if applicable).
- Pay the application fee online using your debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Age Limit
Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old as of January 1, 2023, with a birthdate not earlier than January 2, 1983, and not later than January 1, 2005.
Salary Scale
Level 6, Rs.22,700/- to 58,500/- besides D.A., M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per ROPA, 2019.
Application Fee
Candidates must pay Rs.110/- as Application.
