UPSC has published UPSC NDA 2024 notification. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online applications for National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2024. Applications will start from 20th December and can be applied up to 9th January. Only unmarried male/female candidates who are on 02nd July Those born before 2005 and not after 1st July 2008 are eligible.A candidate must be unmarried male/female. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online only through the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualification
- For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Physical Standards:
- Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy
Examination (I), 2023 as per guidelines given in Appendix IV. (e) A candidate who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academies of the Armed Forces is not eligible to apply
Selection Process
The selection process for NDA 1 2024 comprises two stages:
- Written Exam: The written exam will be conducted in offline mode on April 21, 2024, and will consist of two papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT).
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a five-day Service Selection Board (SSB) interview, which will assess their personality, leadership qualities, and suitability for a career in the Armed Forces.

- Click “Apply Online” and select “NDA & NA (I) Exam.”
- Register for One Time Registration (OTR) if you haven’t already.
- Fill out Part-1 of the application form with basic details.
- Complete Part-2 with specific details for NDA 2024 and pay the application fee.

Age Limit
Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than 02nd July 2005 and not later than 1st July 2008 are eligible.

- For SC/ST category candidates and Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs: The good news is, you’re exempt from the application fee!
