Segway-Ninebot, a leading name in electric scooters, has launched the Ninebot C2 Lite. The C2 Lite is a lightweight electric scooter weighing around 7.8kg with dimensions of 856 x 400 x 950 mm. Built with a sturdy frame, the C2 Lite can support a weight limit of 110 pounds (50 kg). The scooter is equipped with a 120W electric motor that provides a top speed of 16km/h.
The C2 Lite has three riding modes. “Eco” mode limits speed to a gentle 3.7 mph (6 km/h), perfect for beginners learning balance and control. As their confidence grows, they can graduate to “standard” mode for a more moderate speed of 6.2 mph (10 km/h). Finally, “Sport” mode lets them experience the full 9.9 mph (16 km/h) potential.
The C2 Lite employs a mechanical drum brake for smooth and efficient stopping. The 7-inch inner hollow eliminates the worry of hard tire flats, allowing for an uninterrupted ride.
The C2 Lite is equipped with an IPX4-rated display, making it resistant to water splashes. This display shows its current speed and riding mode. A front LED light improves visibility in low light conditions.
When used at full speed, the Ninebot C2 Lite e-scooter achieves a range of about 9 km on a full charge. The e-scooter battery can be fully recharged in about 1.17 hours (70 minutes).

The kids scooter is available in different color options including blue and gold with a touch of black. It is currently available from Chinese retail platforms including JD.com at a starting price of 899 yuan ($124). Ninebot C2 Lite is expected to be available in other markets later.
